3 Things That Are True About God.

I feel so fortunate to have the knowledge of God available to me. Our God is a pleasure to know. He is just wonderful.

You know, I know God is there every time I meet someone and they describe him to me just the same way I know him. There are often so many descriptions of God that it at times seems that he really has no personality but when you meet someone and they describe the same God you know, then you know it's true.

Here are a few things we know about our God. These are things we often forget and it is to our peril.

1) God is ALL powerful.

Sometimes we forget that God is able to do all things. He is able to do more than we can imagine. We often limit God's strength, power and ability to our human understanding.

When it comes to thinking about God and his power, you've got to think outside the box. Who really would have thought of parting a sea? Raising the dead? Walking on water? God's power is not within the limits of the laws of nature because he created nature.

So when you pray, you pray without asking for what you think is possible. You just ask. If you need a mountain to move, that's exactly what you should ask for. If you need to see and you were born blind, just ask. If you need something impossible to happen for you to make things work, do not hesitate to ask. God is Able.

2) God is Love.

God Loves us He really really does. This is a law. You know why? Because he even gave up his son for us. God loves you. He loves to see you and to hear you and he wants to bless you. God has only amazing plans for you.

When you go before God to pray always go with this thought in mind... You are going to see a God who loves you.

It does not matter what sort of horrible sinner you are, God gave his son for us while we were still sinners. And nothing will ever take his love away. So every time you fall, every time you mess up, remember to get up again and go straight back to God. His love is eternal and very very real. When you think of God, think of home. His place is the one place you are fully accepted and loved for who you are because He's the one who made you.

When you get down on your knees, take a sigh of relief and get comfortable. You are home and you are loved.

3) God is Holy

Here comes the big one. Now God is loving and God is all powerful. But God is also Holy. That means he kinda isn't kidding about the hating sin thing. God knows (because part of being all powerful is also knowing everything) how the universe should run and he expects his people to go along with his thoughts. He knows what justice looks like, he knows what integrity looks like, he knows what righteousness looks like. And he kinda gets really mad when you do not go along with what he expects because you kinda should know better.

He is as holy as he is powerful and as he is loving. And that is A LOT.

If you want to gel with him, you've got to make up your mind to live by his rules no matter what it takes. You have to die to yourself and let Christ live in you. He does not expect you to physically die on the cross. Jesus already did that. You don't have to be a matyr for you to show your loyalty to God almighty but you have to die those thousand little deaths every day when you do what God expects instead of what you would rather do.

God is able to do anything for his people. God loves his people in a jealous and firey love. God is Holy.
